Your childhood dreams of running away with the circus were cut short when you realized you had very limited wild-animal training or acrobatic skills. Snag this Adventure and beef up your big top resume with a session on the flying trapeze, another aerial apparatus, and ground arts.

Our two-hour circus workshop begins at Trapeze High at Del Mar's Hot Shotz Sports Center where our high-flying team will be waiting to make sure we all stay in lofty moods all day. Throw on some yoga pants (or anything else that covers the back of the knee) and get ready to take a lesson from the expert instructors on hand. We'll break into groups and rotate through three stations, spending 30 minutes at each. We'll build strength and stability as we learn basic skills on the flying trapeze; further defy our trepidation toward lofty altitudes as we beef up our abilities on one type of apparatus, such as the aerial ring, static trapeze, or silks; and hone our skills in ground arts like juggling, handstands, tumbling, hoop dancing, poi, or acro-balance.
