Thinking about hitching a ride on Santa's sleigh for a post-Christmas jaunt to the North Pole? Forget it—way too many stops. Instead, get yourself a round-trip, non-stop ticket to your own personal winter wonderland with this moonlit snowshoeing Adventure.

Our team of little helpers will be on hand when we meet at 4th Street Brewing Co. in Gresham where our 310 horsepower sleighs (Suburbans or vans) will pick us up and dash us off to Mt. Hood National Forest (with generous amounts of energy-packed munchies on the way). Amongst the glistening frozen lakes, snow-capped hills, and serene cedars, our guides from Rare Earth Adventures will get us suited up with snowshoes, poles, a headlamp, and expert instruction in snowshoeing and wilderness skills training. Then, we'll split into small groups of ten people and head to varying locations, including the Timberline Lodge area, Mirror Lake, Twin Lakes, or Trillium Lake, where, on a clear night we might see the peak of Mt. Hood, the moon, and quite possibly St. Nick flying by with some late deliveries. While the air will be crisp, we'll remain warm, not only with layered clothing (highly recommended) and an awesomely toasty hat (as well as $10 off the price)—both courtesy of the reinvented Toyota Camry—but also snacks and hot beverages, which will be provided along the three-mile route.

Full of winter wonderment, we'll head back to 4th Street Brewing Co. to warm up at our own personal happy hour complete with food and drink specials. And while we're at it, we'll dine on hearty, homey victuals including house-made potato chips, spinach artichoke dip, Black Forest Brew Haus soft pretzels, pulled pork sliders, chicken skewers, and more for just $4 to $6 (depending on the dish). No need to take a long trip north—after this night of chilly, tipply fun, we'll need only our red noses to help light the way home.
