Fun fact: George Washington loved to shoot a gun. And, like every good American, he also loved a good tipple. Think you've got what it takes to run the country? Try a day of doing things the old school way with this Adventure: a day of gun shootin' and beer drinkin' that would be fit for any of the Founding Fathers.
Like Paul Revere gathering so many patriots on his midnight ride, our team of sharpshooters will corral us in either Everett or Downtown Seattle (depending on the date) and gallop us off to Norpoint Shooting Center where we'll make like branches of government and split into three groups and rotate between the three stations we'll have set up. At station one, we'll get to try our hand at 50 shots on a .22 pistol, and 20 shots on a 9mm caliber pistol. At station two we'll get 20 shots on a selection of rifles. Gun choices may include Glock 9, S&W 9mm, Springfield 9mm, Sig Sauer 9mm, Ruger .22 Pistol, S&W .22 Pistol, 9mm Baretta Storm, AK-47, or AR-15. At station three, we'll unwind with some time to play arcade shooting games (Duck Hunt, anyone?), and get an opportunity to take photos with some awesome guns to have a memory of the day.
Having satisfied our appetite for action, we'll soldier on in search of provisions. Washington brewed his own swill, so it's only fitting that we'll visit the famous, family-run Scuttlebutt Brewery, which does the same. As we tour, we'll sample some of the brews, rated among the best in Washington by Seattle Magazine. We'll then head to the Scuttlebutt restaurant—right on the water—for a cup of the famous home-made clam chowder, followed by a meal of our choice. We'll choose from the Scuttlebutt three-piece fish and chips, Boson's bacon burger, a French Dip sandwich, or tomato basil chicken pasta, and a fresh seasonal cobbler for dessert. Plus, we'll have two drink tickets to accompany our meals. This is sure to be a day of revolutionary fun.
