Would you rather spend your mornings strapped in front of the TV with nothing but views of the day's first newscast or wake up to the pristine vista of snow-capped mountains five hours from anywhere, with luxurious accommodations to boot? We thought so. Turn off the boob tube and tune into the Alpine glitz of this Adventure: an ultimate three- or four-night Colorado ski getaway in Crested Butte for two.

Opt for the four-night stay and meet our trained staff on Wednesday night at the Elevation Hotel & Spa where we'll receive our all-day lift tickets (good for three days for those with the four-night option, and two days with the three-night option), and single-day Adventure Park passes. We'll also get a VIP Insider Card, which will give us discounts on a slew of activities, spa treatments, yoga classes, and ski and snowboard rentals. (Check here for additional information on activities and VIP discount packages.) Once we've settled in, we'll head across the street to the Avalanche Bar and Grill for a mix-and-mingle happy hour. (For those who haven't had the chance to grab a bite on their own, we recommend bringing extra cash to enjoy items off the menu.)

Thursday, we'll choose our own adventures with options including tubing, bungee trampoline, putt-putt golf, a rock-climbing tower, and on-mountain scavenger hunt (with prizes), and more at the Adventure Park. Or, of course, we can hit the gorgeous Crested Butte slopes. As the first group enjoys activities in the snow, those who opt for the three-day stay will arrive at the Elevation Hotel & Spa and check into their rooms. Around 5 p.m. both groups will meet at the Avalanche Bar and Grill for an aprés-ski happy hour followed by orientation, and we'll be off on our own for dinner.

Friday brings another day of activities on the mountain for both groups. At 5 p.m. we'll meet at Montanya Rum distillery, where we'll be treated to a tour of the premises as well as a tasting of this top-notch distillery's award-winning rum. For dinner, we'll be on our own to wander down Elk Avenue, Crested Butte's main strip, which is packed with fantastic places to eat.

On Saturday, we'll have another free-for-all on the activity front with an aprés-ski happy hour at Avalanche Bar and Grill starting at 4 p.m. Be sure to grab an early dinner—at 7:30 p.m. we're heading out on an Everything Blue-themed bar crawl. We'll don our best azure-colored threads (the best costume will win a prize) and head to several bars along Elk Avenue. At each spot we'll be treated to our first drink, and we'll get to finish the night on our own at whatever joint suits our fancy.

On Sunday, we'll check out of the hotel and spend the last daylight hours partaking in all those activities we missed the first few days—or saved for the last. With the sun setting on the stunning mountains, we'll pack up, return our gear, and head back to civilization—unless, of course, that fresh mountain air gets the best of us.
