Chef Tech Academy

One Week of Kids' Culinary Summer Camp for Ages 5 to 17

$200

If you take two of Atlanta's top chefs, add in a sprinkle of science and a passion for children's cooking, and divide by two, what do you get? Answer: A kids' culinary summer camp at half the price. Pay $200 for one week of camp at Chef Tech Academy on the Emory University campus (regularly $400), and you can subtract the stress of packing lunches and multiply the educational fun for your kids. Founder chef Sidney Corum -- who has served a host of celebs -- and managing executive chef Eric Hickman turn campers into cooks during four available sessions: 6/4 to 6/8, 6/11 to 615, 6/18 to 6/22, and 6/25 to 6/29. Kids are grouped by ages -- 5 to 10, 11 to 14, and 15 to 17. Pint-sized chefs learn food safety, kitchen skills, nutrition, and science by making daily dishes, competing in team cooking contests, and building an own herb garden. Your youngster will enjoy the fruits of his or her labor on the dinner plate and you'll save 50% -- sounds like a delicious equation for success.
