If Congress set the pace for the DC region, we'd be moving slower than a boxcar made of square tires. Beat back the winds of legislative impasse with this zesty zephyr of an Adventure: a three-hour yacht race and catered lunch on private land in Annapolis with round-trip transportation.
Join us at the Rosslyn metro stop in Arlington to board our coach bus to BoatWorks, located at an exclusive harbor in America's boating capital. Be sure to bring a windbreaker and sneakers or boat shoes. We'll be greeted by our hosts, expert sailing instructors from Group Experiential Learning, who will get us up to speed on sailing safety, nautical terminology, and boat-handling. Then, it's off to the race course on high performance yachts, where the BoatWorks crew will help us hone our teamwork skills and get us ready to dominate the competition. We'll be striving to beat records set by high-profile employers, such as the World Bank and Booz Allen Hamilton, who send employees sailing with GEL to develop leadership and communication skills.
After zipping around the Chesapeake Bay, we'll head back to dry land where we'll nosh on a delightful picnic spread—laid out on a gorgeous ocean-side property—and sip on a beverage (beer or wine). As we celebrate our newly developed sailing skills together, we'll be taken away by the view of peaceful yachts moored in the harbor, a relaxing image we'll keep in our pocket the next time long delays cramp our DC lifestyle.
