Forget long walks. When the weather's as glorious as it's been lately in NYC, there's just one thing we Gothamites like to do: drink beer outside. Join us on this Adventure, and you won't have to stand around with a paper-bagged bottle. Instead, you'll mix and mingle at the Beekman Beer Garden Beach Club at South Street Seaport, enjoying the stunning views of NYC and an authentic New Orleans-style crawfish boil complete with a concert featuring three live jazz bands.
Head to the bar at 6 p.m. to be greeted by our team of tipplers, who'll show us the lay of the land. This place is truly a sight to behold: There's an enormous patio covered in sand, just inches from the Hudson River. From 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. we'll get to stuff our faces with delicious NOLA fare during the crawfish and corn on the cob plate happy hour. And all night long, we'll sling back $6 craft beers provided by Beekman's Beer Garden, plus the entire menu will also be available until close (upon availability), so be sure to bring some extra cash for late-night snacks.
The music kicks off at 7:30 p.m. with three live bands straight from the Big Easy, including Brother Joscephus and the Love Revival Revolution Orchestra, Outer Borough Brass Band, and the High and Mighty Brass Band, plus the sweet stylings of a N'awlins spinner DJ Cochon de Lait. They may all be singing the blues, but on an epic night of boozing and grooving like this, we'll be feeling pure bliss.
