Philadelphia is the birthplace of freedom—so it seems strange we don't read more about the Founding Fathers cutting loose and having a good time. Add your own chapter to the annals of democracy with this uninhibited Adventure: a vintage trolley tour of three of Philadelphia's finest brew havens, with a tasting of ten craft brews and round-trip transportation.
We'll start by assembling outside the 30th Street Station downtown (3011 John F. Kennedy Boulevard), where our team of liberty lovers will be waiting. From there, the group will split up into two Victorian-style trolleys courtesy of Philadelphia Trolley Works. One trolley will head to the Triumph Brewing Company (an organic brewery and restaurant specializing in craft beer), while the other will roll over to Brauhaus Schmitz (Philly's only authentic German bierhall). At each location we'll enjoy a guided seasonal tasting of four 4-ounce craft beers, as well as specials on food (so be sure to bring extra cash), before switching venues.
After the first two stops, we'll all meet back up at the Yards Brewing Company brewery and tasting room, where we'll be free to enjoy a final seasonal tasting of three 1-ounce brews and a pint of our choice on the house. Then, we'll take a tour of the brewery, before hopping back on our trolleys to return to the station. A souvenir LivingSocial pint glass is ours to take home at the end of the day.
Exercise your right to fun with an Adventure that would surely make our forefathers proud.
