Contrary to popular belief, Indiana's Tippecanoe River is not named after its penchant for capsizing water vessels. Lean back and relax for an Adventure that's completely on the level: a day of river tubing on the Tippecanoe River, complete with an outdoor BYOB picnic, an all-you-can-eat taco bar, and round-trip transportation.
Sport a bathing suit and head downtown to 640 North Wells Street, where our seaworthy crew will be waiting to check us in. Next, we'll hop on a coach provided by Windy City Limousine and head straight to Riverside Rentals in Winamac, Indiana. After a quick snack and water on the bus, our spirits will be unsinkable as we arrive and receive a brief safety lesson from the team at Riverside. Once we arrive, we'll hop in a tube and set out on a lazy, three-hour tubing trip down the serene river. Feel free to bring a cooler to keep lunch, snacks, and beverages cool while we're on the water throughout the afternoon. There will also be floating cooler rafts available for rent for $10 on site.
When we've run aground, we'll plug up the holes in our stomachs with an outdoor picnic on the riverbank, where we'll chow down at an all-you-can-eat taco bar, including hard and soft shells, beans, ground beef, shredded chicken, cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes, as well as chips and salsa, courtesy of Poblano's Mexican Grill. A full deck of fun activities, including a big ground-level waterslide, volleyball, and basketball, will keep us afloat—and the option to bring our own adult beverages will ensure we have extra wind in our sails. Either way, this is one Adventure that's sure to be smooth sailing.
