Like the area of a circle, you may not remember all the variables, but you'll never forget how good a pizza tastes: infinitely good. Good thing for you, the cooking lessons of this Adventure sure beat a geometry lesson: pizza making, a mozzarella-making demonstration and appetizer, plus cocktail tutorials and tastings.
We'll gather at Right Coast Pizza in Wheat Ridge where our team of dough-flipping, milk-churning kitchen artists will be on hand to make sure we're more than just stringing along. We'll also make our introductions to the oven maestros of Right Coast, who'll shepherd us to our cooking stations and begin the lessons. First we'll get acquainted with the tools of the trade and learn the basics of rolling dough, choosing the right ingredients, making the sauce, and keeping the crust even. That, plus some Jersey love—the founders cut their teeth on family 'za in Jerz—will put us on our way to baking our own eight-inch pizzas that we'll eventually eat.
The fresh mozz demo will follow: we'll watch how milk, rennet, citric acid, some straining, and spices metamorphose into delicious cheesy wonderment that we'll feast on later.
With the food stuffs finalizing, the good folks of Breckenridge Distillery will bring over their bourbon, vodka, and bitters and invoke the spirits for a revealing session on making cocktails. Naturally, the final step in this incantation is having a cocktail ourselves with our cheese and pizza. Nothing beats living the life of pie.
