Summer's supposed to be when we're at the top of our game, but the high temperatures and oppressive humidity can be a real downer. If the dog days are laying you low, we've got an Adventure that should lift your spirits: zip-lining and other high-flying aerial action on an interactive ropes course, complete with a creek-side meal.
We'll meet at Sand Creek Adventures in the picturesque bluffs of Jordan, where our LivingSocial airborne division will be waiting to check us in. After we receive a safety briefing and an overview of the gear we'll be using from the Sand Creek staff, things will really start looking up as we take on the facility's harrowing high-ropes course, including seven different death-defying elements such as the Multi-Vine, the Charlie Chapman, and a zip-line exit. After conquering our fears, we'll cheer on our fellow high-ropers as well as take on ground-level group activities (think: Norwegian skis, Lava Rocks, and more). We'll then take a stroll to the top of the Sand Creek Valley, where we'll leap from the edge of the cheer cliff and whiz back and forth on three awesome zip-lines spanning some 1,700 feet, as we take in the stunning views below.
After we've come back to Earth, we'll convene at a creek-side picnic area and enjoy a summer meal (cheeseburger, chips, and a cookie) provided by Ridges at Sand Creek restaurant. After a hearty meal, we'll join our fellow Adventurers on Sand Creek's low-ropes course, where we can test our stamina and problem-solving skills. An Adventure to leave us this high on life? That's one way to ensure more than just the mercury will soar this summer.
