The Bay Area is no stranger to suspension bridges, but getting too close to those wires might give you more vertigo than comfort can bear. For an experience with edge that foregoes the crippling altitude, check out this Adventure: a high- and low-ropes course in Napa, wine tasting, burrito lunch, and transportation.
We'll gather at 420 Bryant Street in San Francisco, where we'll hop on a luxury coach bus to Lake Heron in Napa. On board we'll get to know our Adventures team who will guide us through the day's activities. Upon arrival, we'll be introduced to Heron Lake Challenge Ropes Course associates who'll lead us through safety lessons and distribute climbing equipment. We'll then start weaving through the particulars of these challenging courses, making our way across difficult passages, zip-lining over others, and much more—all with the backdrop of ancient Valley Oak trees. After building up a large appetite on the course we will enjoy fresh burritos from La Taquiza Fish Tacos. Look forward to chicken, veggie, or fish burritos with plenty chips and salsa on the side.
With our muscles more taut than the sinewy ropes we just crossed, we'll head to Andretti Winery to sample five wines—Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Sangiovese, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon—plus enjoy a barrel tasting. The Golden Gate may not be accessible yet, but with this Adventure, you can still take your good times to new heights.
