The "experts" will tell you that a good quarterback-receiver tandem is the key to making the offense click, but real fans know that a successful football season hinges on a different twosome: Buffalo wings and beer. If tangy sauce and cold beer are your idea of the perfect teammates, consider this Adventure a mandatory mini-camp: an introductory hot wing making class, complete with all-you-can-eat wings, draft beer, and plenty of football.
We'll start by heading to The Fifty/50, an awesome Wicker Park restaurant and bar (and home to the "Best Wings in Chicago," according to Metromix and RedEye), where our LivingSocial coaching staff will be waiting to check us in. Next, we'll break the huddle, form teams, and listen as the restaurant's executive chef explains four basic types of hot sauce. Each team will then make all four sauces, just in time for the kitchen to deliver round after round of fresh, steaming wings to our table.
We'll spend the next two hours hanging out in booths, tackling piles of all-we-can-eat wings dipped in our freshly made sauces, and watching football on the bar's oversized flatscreen televisions—the afternoon's playbook also includes one draft beer on the house per person, with more available for purchase. Let the analysts handle the X's and O's and kick off the season with an Adventure that's sure to go undefeated.
