Owner Calvin was a chef at Boulevard and Foreign Cinema before opening Andalu. In the middle of 16th Street's bustling scene of bars, boutiques, and restaurants, Andalu has received acclaim from the San Francisco Bay Guardian and other area publications -- and features late-night weekend dining, staying open until 1 a.m. Take a date (or a double) for this meal, and try the restaurant's featured dishes, which might include ahi tartare tacos, spring pea and ricotta raviolis, soda-braised spare ribs, and brandied peach cobbler.
