Your aspiring athlete has taken to practicing all over the house in an effort to become a basketball super star. Stop crying foul over hampers turned into hoops and white walls doubling as backboards with today's deal for a month-long player development program for ages 9 to 18 at Debbie Miller's Top of the Key, run by Hall of Famer and Olympic basketball champ Debbie Miller-Palmore. Pay $98 (regularly $197) and opt for the Bronze program, which consists of four once-weekly sessions; pay $129 (regularly $259) for the Silver program, with eight twice-weekly sessions; or pay $179 (regularly $359) for the Gold program, comprised of 12 sessions, 3 times per week. Players will meet up at the Clairmont Presbyterian Church in the Family Life Center in Decatur, on Sunday or Saturday from 3 to 5 p.m. or Tuesday or Thursday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., depending on the chosen program. In these two-hour sessions, players will learn skills on the court; engage in weight training; improve speed, agility, and quickness; and work on attitude and mental conditioning -- making this program just the first of many slam dunks.
