details

This summer, give your tween or teen a chance to use his or her head, heart, and hands for creative expression. Your child will experience a sense of accomplishment and learn a lifelong skill in the practical arts:

• $175 ($350 value) for 1 week of basic machine sewing camp for ages 10 to 14
• Choose from: June 10-14, June 17-21, or July 8-12 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
• Beautiful historic Corte Madera classroom with big windows & redwood beams

Learn to Sew
Kids will learn the zigzag stitch, presser feet, and bobbins as they hone their sewing chops on projects like pajama pants and other fun crafts. Limited class sizes guarantee personal attention, making this camp ideal for all skill levels. Classes are taught by Pia Andersson, a trained textile engineer with a Master's in Textile Arts. She has been sewing clothes since she was a young girl in Sweden and began designing commercially in the US in the '90s. She's taught people of all ages both here and in Sweden.
