When Tripel Brasserie opened this past summer, the Belgian/French hot spot took the St. Louis culinary scene by stormy surprise, easing its way into the regular routine of locals with a menu full of classic delights... and of course its beer menu:
• $89 ($152 value) for a Chef's four-course dinner for two + beer pairings
• Kitchen tour after dinner, Chef meet-and-greet, and cheesecake to take home
• Pick a date: 11/14, 11/19, 11/21, 11/26, 12/3, 12/5, 12/10, or 12/12
Featuring some 16 beers on tap and 30 bottled beers, all of which highlight the complex Belgian style, the offerings here are full-bodied and plentiful. Start with oysters on the half shell and a mussels pot with blue cheese and calvados before sipping warm onion soup. The main event is tender New York strip with frites, followed by crème brûlée as a finishing touch. Throughout dinner, you'll also get beer-pairing education from the Cicerone.
