American Fare with Flair
Executive chef Josh Brown is a Maryland native who honed his craft in local kitchens before moving on to cook at the prestigious James Beard House -- twice. In addition to his multiple culinary accolades, Brown's Level has been voted Best of Annapolis, too. Local, sustainable foods make up the ever-shifting seasonal menu at this Annapolis favorite. This delightful menu starts with passed appetizers like the heirloom tomato tart. You'll move on to herb-marinated goat cheese with pumpernickel and roasted baby beets, lamb carpaccio, little neck clams, seared sea bass with braised oxtail, filet of beef with blanched asparagus, shaved truffle and poached quail egg -- finishing off the feast with Mexican chocolate pudding with a graham cracker dust.
