During a paint-your-own-pottery class, kids will spend an hour painting their own masterpiece. Each child gets a large soup bowl, tools, and glazes, and a professional instructor will walk your youngster through the entire process. Simply come back in about a week to pick up the final product (this crew has to fire the piece as a final step).
In the pottery-making class, you'll have two 1.5-hour sessions dedicated to crafting clay projects. During the first week, you'll be sculpting or molding clay -- by the second week, you'll be coloring or glazing fired ceramic. You'll be able to pick up your finished product about a week after the class ends.
