Family History Baked Into Every Bite
Dating back to 1935, when Andrew Sapienza purchased a grocery store in the Corona section of Queens, three generations of talented Sapienzas have been whipping up peerless cannolis, éclairs, and other baked goods. It wasn't until 1973 when Paul, Andrew's son, took over ownership and renamed it Sapienza Bake Shop that the roots for the soon-to-be neighborhood staple began to grow. Over the decades, the Sapienza Bake Shop has grown into a full line, on-site production and bakery, focusing on specialty cakes and party cakes, as well as homemade Italian pastries -- making it the premier place for high-end desserts and pastries.
