By day, the Perkins Stone Mansion looks like a harmless historical site; by night, it becomes a dark, spooky house for eerie stories. Explore the floors of this centuries-old spot during a special Paranormal Tour of the Perkins Stone Mansion in honor of Halloween, courtesy of the Summit County Historical Society, for $10 (regularly $20). Register by October 25 for a tour on October 29, 30, or 31. The tales you'll hear might send chills up your spine, but the included hot cider and donuts will help provide some warmth as you walk the halls -- which are lit only by the beams of your own flashlight. For about an hour, a guide will regale you with age-old legends and creepy present-day accounts of this mansion, which was built in the early 1800s. Visitors are encouraged to bring cameras and must be 16 years and older, so plan accordingly -- and be prepared to see a whole different side of this landmark.
