With 95% of students getting in the air during their first class, stop wishing you had wings and let Pittsburgh Paragliding give them to you. Let these paragliding experts school you in the mechanics of flight, and then take to the skies:
• $115 ($199 value) for a beginner Taste of Flight Paragliding course for one
• $199 ($399 value) for a six-hour intermediate paragliding course for one
• $398 ($796 value) for a 2.5-hour beginner group paragliding lesson for four
• $1,689 ($2,600 value) for an advanced paragliding course for one
Your beginner paragliding experience will start with 30 minutes of ground school in which instructors will teach you about flight and familiarize you with your gear. Then, take to the hills. You'll hike to your launch point and soar up to 30 feet, taking as many flights as your feet and stamina will allow.
Opt for the six-hour intermediate course, and you'll take on more advanced techniques as you soar to higher altitudes -- great for those looking to take up paragliding as a hobby but aren't quite ready to commit to the licencing course.
The advanced course is a comprehensive 7- to 10-day course, in which you'll receive all the training necessary to get your USHPA certified P-2 paragliding license. You'll take on the skies, learning day-by-day about more advanced flying techniques and maneuvers as you improve your skills. The graduating flight will be from a mountain site less than a two hour drive from Pittsburgh.
Pittsburgh-area flight destinations vary based on wind conditions -- instructors will contact you with more information as your paragliding session nears closer.
