They say it's a jungle out there, but clearly they have never been to your crazy casa. Grab your crawling and cartwheeling cubs and head to the Wildlife Learning Center in Sylmar. For $13, get admission for a herd -- er, family -- of four with two adults and two kids ages 13 and under (a $26 value). The Center is nestled in an old olive grove, and is home to more than 70 different rescued species and zoo-born animals, including a cute coatimundi, a mesmerizing red tegu, and a majestic Eurasian lynx. Open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., this well-shaded center features plenty of landscaped paths for animal viewing at your own pace. Be sure to catch a Trainer Talk, too, and one of the friendly biologists will introduce your clan to a new creature up close. Providing wildlife biology and environmental education both on-site and throughout the greater LA area, this non-profit is sure to make your wild things' hearts sing -- and teach them something, too.
