This was my 2nd time with Cape Ann. It was a great morning. Had great views of the whales and the crew were very friendly.

Everything was really great, except the captain of the boat didn't make too many attempts to get closer to whales when we did spot them. It was really quite disappointing! There was another boat from 7 Seas Whale Watch that repeatedly went closer, and I'm sure they had better views. No other complaints!

i have been whale watching before and I have to say that Cape Ann's experience is everything you would want and expect! They don't just take you on a boat to see whales. They create an EXPERIENCE! Friendly, welcoming, informative and accommodating from beginning to the end! Every place on the boat is a great place to see the whales! Up, down or the sides! From kids to seniors, it is great!

Great weather, beautiful day to be on the water. Saw three whales. They were right up close to the boat.

Thought it was amazing despite the rain and choppy seas! The young woman who spoke to the group was very knowledgeable and my grandsons had a fantastic time!

About Cape Ann Whale Watch

Since 1979, the whale-watching pioneers of Cape Ann Whale Watch have escorted more than three quarters of a million spectators fascinated by the oceans magnificent leviathans on three to four hour treks 15 off the coast of Gloucester Ma. Earning them a spot on the Top 5 American Whale Watching Tours by Joshua Horwitz, author of War of the Whales. The mighty 115 ft. Hurricane II, the largest and fastest vessel north of Boston (which can reach speeds of to 30 knots) whisks you to the whale grounds sometimes within an hour form the dock. Once there you’ll observe the natural grace of natures gentle giants feed and frolic just feet from the boat. A naturalists from the World Cetacean Alliance narrates all trips, illuminating each of the dweller by discussing why whales breach, how to recognize individual humpbacks, and their various feeding styles.

Sightings are Guaranteed, if you don’t sight a whale you can return “FREE FOR LIFE” until you do, but their 100 % sighting record in 2020 dictates that the chances are pretty good you’ll sight a whale on your first trip!
