Winter Haven, Florida: Watersports on Glittering Lakes

Winter Haven occupies a relatively quiet spot between tourist-heavy Tampa and Orlando. More than a dozen freshwater lakes link to one another throughout Winter Haven, inspiring its nickname: Chain of Lakes City. Naturally, boating and fishing are big draws here, with anglers casting out for bass and bucket mouth. Water skiing along these bright-blue waters is another popular activity.

Fun. Kid friendly hotel. Big enough for our family of 5. Staff were great in these difficult times. Included breakfast was exceptional.

Very clean and enough room for all of us. Loved the tv in the kids room. They always think it’s such a treat to be able to watch tv in bed since we do not have that at home.

There was a mini scavenger hunt in the room, which was pretty cool. 2 Alexas, the kids had fun with that! Legos right in the room! It wasn’t too packed and everyone was wearing masks as they were supposed to! Would love to go again, kids didn’t want to leave!

What a great experience! The hotel was amazing and the kids had a blast! Lego themed everything - we got the pirate room and with three boys and my husband - it was plenty roomy! The activities and included breakfast were such a perk!

We truly appreciated all the small touches put into our stay. The treasure box and nightly activities were loved by our boys. The concern, however, was the humidity level in our room The papers were moust, the bathroom tile was slippery, and our noses were stuffy while in the room. I'm not sure what could be done about this issue, but it should definitely be addressed.

The king bed was so comfy and with four kiddos three of them claimed the beds they wanted and the youngest slept on the king bed with me. We were so comfortable and they really know how to keep your family happy! My youngest loved the keUrig hot chocolate. The cafe food was fantastic and breakfast yum! Being steps away from LEGO land was so fun. Very sensory friendly place of that matters to you
