Hotel at a Glance: Pod 51

Amidst the excitement and entertainment of New York City sits Pod 51 - the very first establishment in the Pod Hotels collection - where character, charm, and comfort combine for a truly unique stay in the heart of the Big Apple. Less than a mile away from Central Park, Grand Central Station and Rockefeller Place, this chic hotel offers an alternative to the traditional, standard hotel stay and features a craft beer and burger restaurant, rooftop deck, and a beer garden in NYC’s Midtown Manhattan.

  • Embark on a craft ale adventure at Clinton Hall, the hotel’s on-site restaurant, where a ever-changing selection of 20 unique draft beers pair perfectly with bold, rich flavor combinations from any of the restaurant’s 20 burger options.
  • Beer garden & cafe: Start the day off right with breakfast at the hotel cafe, or stop in during the day for a light snack to recharge. The day winds down with a glass of wine or beer in the hotel garden or in the comfort of the indoor cafe.
  • Rooftop deck: Grass-lined walls surround colorful wooden beach chairs, picnic benches, and plush couch seating, as guests sit back and relax amidst picturesque views of NYC.
  • Unique Pods: Whether it’s a private pod for one or a bunk bed-filled shared room, each pod is equipped with chic, modern amenities, including chic work desks and flat-screen TVs. Shared or private, each guest bathroom features a rainfall shower head and upscale bath amenities.
  • 5th Avenue Station is right outside the hotel, offering easy access to the city’s top attractions, including Broadway, Times Square, Central Park, and more.

Midtown East Manhattan: Iconic Sights and Shops Along Fifth Avenue

Midtown East refers to a 17-block stretch of central Manhattan between Fifth Avenue and the East River. The area is known for some of New York’s most famous landmarks, including Rockefeller Center, Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, and Grand Central Terminal (one of the world’s most-visited tourist attractions). Though in recent years Grand Central has filled with upscale restaurants and shops, it still serves as a major transportation hub with subway lines, Metro trains, and ziplines heading all over the city.

A stroll down Fifth Avenue is a world-renowned shopping experience: the street is filled with luxury boutiques and flagship department stores, including the original Saks Fifth Avenue and Bergdorf Goodman. For a little tranquility in the middle of the city, follow Fifth up to the southeast corner of Central Park. Just a few feet off the street is the Pond, which is spanned by a stone bridge. A little farther north, you’ll find the heart of Central Park Zoo.
