Baltimore, Maryland: World-Class Museums and Historic Waterfront Neighborhoods

Baltimore’s Inner Harbor—a busy port that was redeveloped as a tourism district in the mid-20th century—has become one of the city’s best-known and most beloved landmarks. Water taxis ferry visitors from one historic, cultural, or family-friendly attraction to another. Sites along the routes include the star-shaped Fort McHenry (where US forces repelled the British during the War of 1812, inspiring Francis Scott Key to write “The Star-Spangled Banner”) and restaurants where you can sample the city’s famous crab cakes.

You’ll find several unique museums here, too, from the National Aquarium—which houses more than 16,000 sea creatures in realistic habitats—to the wonderfully oddball American Visionary Art Museum, one of the country’s leading institutions for outsider art. For a stunning view of the skyline, the Inner Harbor, and Chesapeake Bay, head up to the 27th floor of the Baltimore World Trade Center, where you can see the city from 360 degrees at the observation deck.

Had the kind deluxe corner suite. 1st room had black streaks on comforter. Dirty overall. Moved us to a 2nd room- not much better.. bathroom light was flickering like a horror film. My lady ended up getting mad at me for picking somewhere in the “ghetto” etc. awful night… partially drunk while I wrote this but these are still my true feelings. Love and light.

I usually don't have issues here, but the last time was not good. There were baby roaches in my bathroom. Complete turn off!!

Just say no! Unless you seek a hotel with limited hot water, non-working phones, mold infused carpet, unsecured and unscreened windows, heavily stained mattresses and bed linens and temperatures equivalent to dry saunas. If so, the Raddison Inner Harbor Hotel will fulfill your needs!

Room was clean. Front desk hosts were helpful and nice. Tub wasn’t draining and light was flickering in bathroom. They had someone come up within 10 minutes to address both issues. I left some toiletries at home and the front desk quickly gave me whatever I needed. Parking on site was convenient and not a bad deal with the Radisson rewards. Hallways by garage elevator could use cleaning/updating.

The staff was friendly but ultimately this wasn’t the best stay. It was 76 degrees when we arrived, figured it’d cool down while we went out for a few hours but it just got more hot. Was 83 by the time we left. There was absolutely no cool water in the sink (the right side of the facet was broken) so the sink water was scorching hot. Had a nice view and easily accessible to the lot across the st.
