I have to admit when I opened the package I was impressed....after I washed my new sheets I was very dissatisfied, I found small black spots sprinkled randomly on each piece. I was able to remove the spots with bleach, however, I had to treat each spot with a cotton swab & the bleach. After spending nearly 3 hours washing, treating, and rewashing I was further disappointed when they didn’t fit.
You always hear how good Egyptian cotton sheets are. It is true, they are the best sheets money can buy. Comfort beyond belief, especially for someone who is very sensitive to textures. I am buying more.
I am only giving it a three star because as much as I love how thick they are I fight with them every time I put them on my queen sized mattress which is 10 inches deep. It does not fit over the last corner I try and put on.
I’m not picky about really anything and usually buy the $20 sheet sets from Target/Kohl’s and thought I’d splurge a little on these. Let me tell you I should’ve just stuck to the $20 sets. These sheets are not at all comfortable. I’ve already washed them four times with a bunch of fabric softener and still about as soft as cardboard. Just save your money and go elsewhere.
After a few years of soft flannel-like feel of microfiber and bamboo sheets I found myself yearning for the fresh, crisp feel of cotton. I washed these twice, first to get rid of smell, then once more just to make sure! These sheets are thick and I know they will soften a bit over time and last for many years. I’m going to order another set to alternate.
