Such a fun activity in the city for my husband, my MIL, and me. The whole crew was really nice and Courtney was a great tour guide and really knew her stuff. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for something touristy or even if you’ve lived in/near the city your whole life and want to learn more about it!

My husband recommended we do an architecture river cruise while in Chicago and we are so glad we did😍 experience one of the world’s most beautiful cities on a cruise down the historic Chicago river. Very calm, very relaxing tour, well organized and entertaining. The guide was well prepared ( Sam ) funny and attentive and remembers/ knows so much info about the city of Chicago along with fun facts about the buildings as well as describing the architectural design decisions. All the history, old and new building and riverwalk additions are worth seeing. Highly recommended and must do in Chicago ❤️

About Shoreline Sightseeing

Shoreline Sightseeing has been whisking passengers along Lake Michigan since 1939. Traveling down the reverse-engineered Chicago River, Shoreline’s architecture tours explore the history of the city’s landmark buildings—from the Great Fire of 1871 to the work of famed architects Mies van der Rohe and Jeanne Gang. Colorful bursts illuminate the sky during fireworks cruises, and nighttime tours allow for glimpses of lit-up buildings. Classic lake tours drift into Lake Michigan, giving passengers a chance to espy the whole city, and water taxis connect visitors from one destination to the next, speeding between Navy Pier, the Museum Campus, Michigan Ave., and the Willis Tower.
