I like the remote golf courses with lax rules and not over crowded so you can actually enjoy the game

The groupon I purchased included 2 $5 credits for their food truck - unfortunately, it didn’t open until 5 p.m. and we were done playing at 2 p.m. Asked for a credit in the golf shop - either for food or beverage or a shop item. No satisfaction. My choice was only to stay until the guy opened at 5 p.m. Not cool to sell the package promising $10 in food when it’s not even open.

Pros- Cost. The course was in good shape. Very very very fast. Checking in was super easy. The host was very nice. 9 hole course east playing. Carts are comfy. Cons- Everyone was in a rush. The pizza voucher we got we couldn’t use because they never knew when he planned to show up. Tried to wait but we live an hour away. As we were about to leave, a guy opened up the food truck. We had to go. What was supposed to be a discounted lunch around 12 turned into a food truck sitting there empty till almost 2pm How do we get a refund in a $20 voucher in food we didn’t eat?

About Point Venture Golf Club

Designed by three-time Masters champion Jimmy Demaret, Point Venture Golf Club's nine-hole course cleaves through thickets of cedar trees along the north shore of Lake Travis. Although narrow fairways and small greens offer a challenge to advanced golfers, novice players can swing freely as the course is free of water hazards, bunkers, and wormholes disguised as divots. A relatively short course, Point Venture’s display of sharp doglegs frequently forces players to take shorter clubs to the tee box, effectively lengthening the course. Conversely, the winding fairways may tempt golfers to go for the high-risk, high-reward play of unsheathing their drivers at the tee, flying the corner, and setting up a short approach to the green.
