The establishment was founded by Chef Chris Delgado in 2017, who grew up cooking as a kid in Arizona, followed by an extensive career of professional culinary positions at various restaurants.
The Wood Shack uses different woods to smoke particular meats, ranging from hickory and cherry to pecan and mesquite woods. The joint's flavorful meats are piled high on sandwiches, combining unique tastes ranging from traditional classics such as the Cuban or the Philly Steak Sandwich to the Burley Wich, layered with adobo pork belly, cotija cheese, tomatillo guacamole, and topped with a sunny-side-up brown egg in between a brioche bun.
