First, I bought the deal for 4 shots. I never saw the doctor load another syringe so I don't think he used four shots. Second, I had to beg him to treat all my spider veins around my ankles. He told me he would finish them when I returned for my varicose vein treatment. Third, weeks after the spider vein shots, my ankles are still black from bleeding just under the skin. I used compression socks as they recommended, but my ankles look so much worse than before. I hope they ultimately heal, but so far they look awful. Forth, seems like it was a ruse to get my varicose veins treated for $4000. I was evaluated by the office and told I had varicose veins. If you look close you can see the veins in my calves, but they are not protruding from my skin as in the office pictures. The doctor and the front desk swore my insurance would cover it so I booked all of the required appointments that day. But when I checked, my insurance denied covered. Still upon discussing it with their insurance office, their office was trying to convince me to apply for a medical loan for $4000 to cover it. Yikes, that's a lot. I am not a doctor, so I don't know about this medically, but this is what happened to me. Before I do anymore vein treatments, I am getting a second opinion. Just an overall bad experience.

I was excited to finally get some work done on my Varicose Veins in my legs. I had pictures taken of my legs, then got an Ultra Sound. The Dr. comes in and gives you an assessment about your issue. He was nice. Dr. Chi I think. As he injected my problem areas it felt like a tiny pinch. After about 20-minutes most of my blue/purple spots had disappeared. I wanted to hug the doctor. But I held back.

Don’t go here. I had two treatments and my legs look terrible. No risks or after care was explained. I was assured that the ultrasound was included, but, surprise, after the two treatments, I needed to pay for one. Just like the other three ladies that left while I was waiting an hour for my appointment. My legs look much worse and I don’t trust that I received appropriate care.

I had to wait over an hour for my appointment. Only one of the staff members spoke good English, so I had to have that member repeat the instructions provided. Also, the tech who wiped my legs with alcohol for the procedure did not do a good job and did not sanitize all of the areas that were treated. I would definitely use another doctor in the future.

I arrived on time but still had to wait over an hour to be seen. Asked about rescheduling but they had nothing available for quite a few weeks. Drove 40 mins to get there so decided to wait. Dr. was nice, a bit hard to understand. He tried to upsell me and tell me my insurance would cover it. When I told him I would just stick with the simple sclerotherapy I had come in for, he was kind of abrupt and started working quickly. He poked several spider veins which seemed to immediately disappear, (they've since come back) but left me bleeding quite a bit. He wiped away some of the blood but then left the room, never came back and I was dripping blood all over. I waited a bit and no one came in. Didn't know if the appt. was over or what I was supposed to do. Were they waiting for me at the front desk? I walked down the hall, blotting my legs so the blood wouldn't drip on their floor, to see if someone could give me a cloth to clean up with or some bandaid's. The nurse was leaving and seemed irritated that I needed assistance. She told me to go back to my room, said something to the receptionist who then brought me some bandaid's and apologized. I've had my veins done twice before somewhere else and this was the worst experience ever. Very unprofessional.

About USA Vein Clinics

At USA Vein Clinics' locations across the country, cardiovascular doctors who specialize in circulation issues identify and treat vein problems. The symptoms they look for extend beyond varicose veins and spider veins to those with more serious implications, including swollen legs, say, or a feeling of heaviness in the lower body.

Once they've reached a diagnosis, the physicians tackle the problem with an array of minimally invasive treatments. Sclerotherapy, for instance, works via injection, prompting visible veins to shut down, morph into harmless scar tissue, and slowly disappear. Folks can also opt for non-invasive, FDA-approved laser therapy, whose light targets and shrinks visible veins.
