The Place
480km southwest of Sydney on the western edge of the Snowy Mountains is the township of Tumbarumba, the starting point of this week's exhilarating two-night, three-day horse riding Escape from Mountain Ash Trails. Bago State Forest, where you'll then be spending your days riding, camping and exploring, is found adjacent to the town and is renowned as an incredibly diverse example of Australian flora, fauna and natural beauty. Here you'll find wild horses (brumbies) running free, a cool, crisp air nibbling at your senses and an overwhelming sense of freedom as you explore this fabulous area atop one of the planet's most magnificent creatures.

The Property
Mountain Ash Trails is run by a pair of passionate horse riding professionals by the names of Victoria and Gary. These two friendly riders will ensure your ultimate alpine adventure is perfect from the get go including safety gear fitting, paperwork signing and faithful steed introductions suited to your ability. After a quick journey by vehicle to the safe and secure campsite where you will leave your belongings with your comfortable tent accommodation, Gary and Victoria will lead you along the trail with expertise and ease. All meals are also provided including cooked or continental breakfast, barbecue or sandwich lunch, morning and afternoon tea and bush tucker dinner.

The Points of Interest
One of the best parts of this unforgettable experience is that Mountain Ash Trails will try their utmost to tailor as much of the fun to the wants and wishes of the group. Kept small in size to ensure an intimate experience, each group will ride for an average of five hours each day and will be amazed by historic sites such as Paddy's River Dam, the gravesites of Quartzville and beautiful wildlife like brumbies, kangaroos, wallabies, parrots, kookaburras and, perhaps, the rare lyre bird frolicking in the bush. You'll venture deep, tent out, tell stories, meet new friends and drift off to sleep under a star-lit sky over this stunning secluded area by the Snowy Mountains.
