The Destination
In the state of Washington, in the middle of Puget Sound, on Whidbey Island, sits the small maritime village of Langley. The town faces Saratoga Pass and boasts a handful of boutique shops, galleries, and restaurants. And by the flock of well-used fishing boats departing the marina each morning, you can count on some of the freshest seafood around. Outside of Langley, Whidbey Island boasts 135 miles of shoreline and 30 square miles of parkland to delight outdoor adventurers and nature lovers.

The Digs
Boatyard Inn sits right at the water's edge in Langley, where lapping waves and sandy footprints are enough to make you forget that downtown Seattle is just an hour away. Each of the inn's rooms is trimmed in pine wood and outfitted with a galley kitchen, dining and living area, gas fireplace, flat-screen TV, and Wi-Fi. And as great as all that sounds, the highlight of your room will be its private deck overlooking Saratoga Pass. Wake up early to watch the sun rise over the water, or catch glimpses of orca whales, eagles, and sailboats as they pass by.

  • "The town was wonderful and everyone was nice. The restaurants are awesome and the Boatyard Inn was great. It has a lovely location on the water, where one can see the beautiful mountains in the distance. I would love to be able to visit there again."
