The Destinations
Italy is famous for the grandeur of its Renaissance-era cities, but to know its rustic countryside—the origin of its unparalleled wines, cheeses, and olive oils—is to know its heart. Rolling hills undulate with cypress trees enveloped in soft morning fog as centuries-old bell towers ring a call to morning prayers in towns like Lucca—a Medieval walled city with sky-reaching towers and historic gardens—or Pisa and its famed leaning tower.

To the west, cyprus trees give way to lemon groves along the Italian Riviera, a stretch of coastline along the cobalt Tyrrhenian Sea. Cinque Terre—a cluster of five coastal towns—is one of the region's biggest draws, luring hikers and foodies to its much-traveled towpaths in search of some of the region's best seafood and unparalleled ocean views.

This is the landscape that gave birth to Dante, Michelangelo, and Galileo—and you can look upon their inspiration today with a eight-day tour of this magnificent region courtesy of Premium Plus Sports.

The Itinerary
day 1: From either the Lucca Central Train Station, Pisa Airport, or Florence Airport, enjoy included van transport to your accommodations at Villa Bocelli. Take some time to explore the estate or take a dip in the pool before your group bike fitting and equipment check at a local bike shop. Tonight, enjoy a delicious welcome dinner.
Overnight at Villa Bocelli. Dinner provided.

day 2: Greet the day with a morning yoga session, conducted by local teacher from Lucca, followed by a healthy breakfast—a routine you'll maintain throughout your trip. Then, hop on your bike for a guided tour of Lucca, its 2.5-mile-long wall, and surrounding countryside. Spend the afternoon as you wish at your leisure before sitting down an al fresco dinner under the stars at the Villa.
Overnight at Villa Bocelli. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided.

day 3: Today, you'll explore Garfagnana, one of the lesser-known parts of Tuscany and a land teeming with rivers, lakes, valleys, hills, and mountains. Cycle through beautifully preserved Medieval villages for a taste of traditional Tuscan life. Use the afternoon to explore at your leisure, and later, enjoy dinner at Trattoria Pinzo.
Overnight at Villa Bocelli. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided.

day 4: Your bike path today leads to Mount Serra, a training ground popular with professional Italian cyclists. Take in a view of Pisa and the Mediterranean Sea, and then circle back for lunch and a private walking tour of historic Lucca. Use the remainder of the day as you wish before enjoying transfer back to the villa.
Overnight at Villa Bocelli. Breakfast and lunch provided.

day 5: Take your bike to Viareggio and the Italian Riviera. This afternoon, take a tour of a private wine and olive oil estate along with its historic villa and enjoy a wine and olive oil tasting, followed by dinner at a local ristorante.
Overnight at Villa Bocelli. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided.

day 6: Take a break from biking and instead embark on a hike through the five tiny fishing villages of Cinque Terre, a National Park and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Take a swim in the Mediterranean Sea and follow that with a seafood dinner in one of the villages.
Overnight at Villa Bocelli. Breakfast and dinner provided.

day 7: Hop your bike and ride to the white-marble mountain of Carrara, the source of the famous stone used to construct the Pantheon, Michelangelo's "David," and many other famous Italian structures.
Back at the villa, you'll partake in a Tuscan cooking class conducted by a local expert, followed by a celebration dinner with the group.
Overnight at Villa Bocelli. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided.

day 8: Enjoy a final breakfast and yoga session before boarding your transfer to the Lucca Central Train Station, Pisa Airport, or Florence Airport.
