The Destination
Named for the Hindu goddess of the harvest, Nepal's Annapurna region is a section of the Himalayas that boasts what some consider the world's finest trekking circuit.

Many Annapurna journeys begin in Nayapul, a short drive from Pokhara through undulating hills and terraced rice fields. But, you'll have to trade your vehicle for hiking boots to appreciate the majesty of the steeper terrain ahead. There will be plenty of time to reflect as you climb stone staircases, passing glacier-fed rivers and crossing shady mountain forests. When you emerge, Ghorepani and Poon Hill offer spectacular panoramas of the sunlit, snow-capped Himalayan peaks. And that's before you descend to the hillside village of Chomorong, where eye-level clouds slowly engulf the mountaintops all around you.

Stretch your legs and nourish your soul with this ten-day trekking and yoga tour of Nepal, courtesy of Bohemian Tours.
