What a hidden little gem. Great location off the beaten path.
pros: The wine reception and the wonderful staff!
cons: No

The majority of the staff was excellent. The hotel's ambiance was unique and inviting. The young woman at the front desk was pleasant. Hotel Monaco is outstandingly located. The young man at the front desk has left me hesitant to stay here again.
pros: The location was fantastic, parking was easy, the bellmen were superb
cons: The gentleman at the front desk was atrocious. He was pretentious, rude and condescending. He never stated his name, however, he was on shift both evenings we were there (June 20th and June 21st of 2013).

pros: We loved the location, view and our guppy! My kids (4 and 8) loved naming it and talking to the pet fish. They also requested kids sized robes and of course, they appeared in short order. The wine hour was great and there were non alcoholic options.
cons: Just a heads up: Parking was a little steep at $48/night but I am guessing that is on par with other downtown hotels and garages.
