hotel description

Scottsdale is the place to go for art, shopping and nightlife in the valley of the sun. Now, there is a hotel creating even more desire around the desert experience. The Saguaro arrived in November 2011, bringing with it a new look to where old town, the arts district, and civic center mall meet. Bright, lush and vibrant, it is a fresh face amid Scottsdale's buzzing downtown scene.

A stay here is about relaxation, nature and yes, our two famous pools. Both are easy walks from every room, heated, and ringed by cabanas. The Saguaro Spa welcomes you to de-stress even further. When it's time to recharge, the comprehensive fitness center will get you looking your best for around the poolside bar. If Scottsdale is where the old west found its modern groove, The Saguaro sits at the main intersection. The resort overlooks not only hitching posts and saloons but the civic center mall, a 21-acre urban park home to the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art and the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts. The ever-trendy Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall isn't much further.

I picked this hotel because of the night life and the noise surrounding it. If you want quiet, not the place to stay. The bed and pillows were very comfy, the staff super nice and helpful. Very close to old town and everywhere I wanted to go. I did my research so I was aware of the resort fee added at the end of the stay ($21) The buildings are obviously not new, but everything worked, and the retro vibe was cool. Will be back!
pros: I picked this hotel because of the night life and the noise surrounding it. If you want quiet, not the place to go. The bed and pillows were very comfy, the staff super nice and helpful. Very close to old town and everywhere I wanted to go. Will be back!
cons: Nope! Fit what I needed perfectly!

Hotel was descent, decor in room was clearly Furnished from Ikea. Wouldn't give this hotel a "Resort" rating at all.
pros: Location is prime for shopping and dining
cons: Was not told at check in about the daily resort fee''s. having an additional $21 per day charge at check out was disappointing.
