The Destination
In 1881, two years after its founding, Eureka Springs, Arkansas, declared itself the "City of the First Class." More than 130 years later, this distinguished district—listed on the National Register of Historic Places in the beautiful Ozarks—is still steeped in nostalgia and sophistication. From streets of immaculate Victorian-style homes outfitted with original detail to the vibrant arts and cultural scene brimming with boutiques and galleries, Eureka Springs reveals a hidden gem around every trolley stop.

The Digs
Home to plush Victorian furnishings and enchanting décor, Bridgeford House Bed & Breakfast Inn is a wistful 19th-century Queen Anne manor boasting a lush stone-cobbled garden, filled with fragrant flowers, clear ponds, and a waterfall. Rooms are individually appointed and exquisitely unique. The Mary Bridgeford Room, a burgundy and gold queen-size setting, comes complete with a jetted tub under a stained glass window and a private deck. The Garden View Room is a veritable garden paradise with its bright and airy high ceilings, plantation-style four-poster queen-size bed, large windows, and spectacular view of the sunken garden outside. And the The Captain Bridgeford Room, a royal dwelling with a four-poster cherrywood bed, is set up with an oversize antique claw-foot tub, fireplace, and private deck. Jump-start every morning with a gourmet four-course breakfast, served on fine china with gold flatware. Chandeliers, doilies, and dainty tea sets adorn the quaint dining area that overlooks the garden. Edwardian egg casserole or lemon cream cheese French toast, anyone?
