The Destination
Set on the edge of Lake Wallenpuapack in the Poconos, Hawley welcomes visitors to enjoy the year-round beauty of eastern Pennsylvania. The lake itself measures nine square miles and is stocked with trout, bass, and perch, while the surrounding forest is crisscrossed with hiking, biking, and snowshoeing trails. In town, the Hawley Silk Mill's 19th-century stone facade now houses businesses ranging from coffee shops to day spas—the perfect place to gather after a day of outdoor adventure.

The Digs
Perched on the edge of gorge overlooking a seasonal waterfall, Ledges Hotel wows visitors with spectacular views from nearly every window. The weathered stone and wood structure emulates the stark beauty of its setting, best admired from tiered observation decks built around the hotel's exterior. Nature's influence is evident inside, as well, where guest rooms feature designer wood furnishings, bamboo towels, and energy-efficient rain showers. As part of the Hawley Silk Mill campus, the Ledges ensures guests have convenient access to the adjoining shops and cafés.

  • "A really nice and romantic hotel. It was just the perfect place to chill. There is a lot of space and it is quiet, well-decorated, very clean, and relaxing. The view of the frozen waterfall was great."
