The Destination
Most travelers aren't strangers to Nepal's swatch of the Himalayas: The majestic mountains have been gracing the covers of travel magazines for decades. But no number of glossy photos can capture the way the icy blue peaks warm to brilliant gold when you're perched atop Poon Hill at sunrise.

Make your way from the stupa-studded squares and vibrant alleys of Kathmandu to the Annapurna Sanctuary, a high-altitude combination of pristine forests and snow-capped peaks near Nepal's northern border. On your nine-day tea house trek, you'll ascend through terraced mustard fields and rhododendron forests to an altitude of nearly 10,000 feet. Around each bend in the trail, discover spectacular vistas of some of the Himalayan range's most famous mountains: Annapurna South, Annapurna I, and Machhapuchhre. Cozy tea houses adorned in prayer flags provide trekkers respite on the trail.

A gradual descent past waterfalls and white-faced langur monkeys brings you ultimately to Pokhara, a lakeside town perfect for celebratory beers and apple pie. This 14-day OneSeed Expedition to Nepal's most spectacular sanctuary is bound to leave you breathless—and not just because of the altitude.

The Itinerary
All itineraries are subject to change based on local conditions and the judgment of the guide.

day 1: Once you arrive in Nepal, a OneSeed staff member will greet you at Kathmandu's international airport and take you to the OneSeed partner lodge in the ancient city of Patan, situated in the Kathmandu Valley. Catch up on some shut-eye and venture out for dinner on your own.
Overnight at Newa Chen, The Yellow House, or Summerhill House in Kathmandu.

day 2: Spend the day exploring the Kathmandu Valley, thanks to the guided sightseeing tour. Shake your jetlag with a visit to Swayambhunath, the "Monkey Temple." Then, take in the views of the city from atop one of the most important Buddhist stupas in Nepal. Head back to your hotel for the welcome dinner before resting up for the next day.
