The Destination
Kenya isn't all about expansive plains and wild herds—the country is also home to one of the largest and most cosmopolitan cities in Africa: Nairobi. While still developing in many ways, the city offers a uniquely worldly experience; here, you'll find upscale restaurants next to open-air markets and a lively nightlife filled with the local Benga music.

Even in a country renowned for its natural beauty, the Masai Mara National Reserve stands out. Stretching over hundreds of square-miles at the northern edge of the Serengeti, this relatively untouched swath of savanna is an important sanctuary for Kenya's Big Five—the lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhinoceros—as well as hyenas, cheetahs, and bat-eared foxes.

Istanbul is layered with the legacies of such storied cultures as the Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman Empires. In Turkey's capital city, you'll find both the Ottoman-era Blue Mosque and the Byzantine-era Hagia Sophia that inspired its design. And it's not just the monuments that preserve Istanbul's history; the Grand Bazaar is one of the world's oldest and largest covered markets. Between a quarter- and a half-million people visit its approximately 4,000 merchants every day.

You'll see the best of Kenya—Nairobi, Lake Naivasha, and the Masai Mara—as well as Istanbul on this 11-day trip courtesy of Skyline Travel & Safaris.
