A palatial luxury resort on the exotic shores of Bali? Sounds like the ultimate romantic rendezvous.

The Destination
Many world travelers regard Bali as the Holy Grail of exotic destinations—the Indonesian island charms all who visit with an intoxicating cocktail of jaw-dropping natural beauty and ritual spirituality. Though petite, this Pacific isle nonetheless explodes with cosmopolitan verve in cities like Kuta and Ubud, while the undeveloped areas to the East teem with tangled bamboo forests in a kaleidoscope of greens. Among the many reasons to visit, the Balinese culture exudes a mystical serenity in its unwavering commitment to ancient ceremony and mesmerizing dance.

See the beauty of Bali for yourself with this ten-day Escape, courtesy of Globotours.

The Itinerary
day 1: Depart the US on an overnight flight to Bali. You'll lose a calendar day crossing the International Date Line, but get it back on your return trip.

day 2: Touch down at Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali, where you will be greeted by the hotel representative before being driven to the Ayodya Resort Bali, a four-star resort with exquisite décor, an oasis-like swimming pool, beach access, and an inviting new spa.
Overnight at Ayodya Resort Bali.

day 3: After breakfast, depart for your Ubud Balinese Tour. You'll stop at Tohpati Village to see the amazing colors and patterns of batik, a traditional fabric made by locals. In Celuk Village, you'll watch the silver and gold jewelry-making process. Then, travel to Batuan, where you'll observe the simple lifestyle of locals in a traditional Balinese house compound. Before returning to the resort, continue to the city of Ubud to visit the traditional art market and the royal palace.
Overnight at Ayodya Resort Bali. Breakfast provided.

days 4-9: There are no scheduled activities for the rest of your stay, so experience Bali at your leisure. Treat yourself to several days on the warm white sands, where you'll bliss out during your beachside Balinese massage, then relax with an intimate afternoon tea. The calm waters of the Nusa Dua enclave are perfect for kayaking, snorkeling or boogie boarding—and the resort pool is always available for your sunning needs.

Don't forget to experience Bali's culinary delights while learning the secrets of a local chef during your cooking class. Sit down to a unique Japanese dinner at Genji restaurant one night, then spend another enjoying an intimate three-course dinner. On a trip highlight, watch a Balinese dance performance during a buffet dinner for a perfectly romantic evening under the stars.
Six nights at Ayodya Resort Bali. Six breakfasts and three dinners provided.

day 10: Ride to the airport and catch your return flight to the US, having fallen in love with the laid-back lifestyle and lush landscape of Bali.
Breakfast provided.
