The Destination
Decades of history are displayed on every corner of North Carolina's oldest town, Bath, from the state's longest-standing Episcopal church to the meticulously maintained homes listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Apart from man-made relics, the surrounding area beckons with wildlife spotting in Goose Creek State Park and fishing and water sports in the Pamlico Sound.

The Digs
Life is better on the water—that's the philosophy of The Inn on Bath Creek, and it's not hard to see why. In a town full of history and old-world charm, this picturesque inn makes the most of the opportunity to step back in time while keeping modern conveniences. From the welcome drinks and hors d'oeuvres to the plus queen- and king-bed rooms with ensuite bathrooms (some with soaking tubs!), you'll find every little luxury you're looking for on the shores of the creek.

The Diversions
Fish and sail. Set out on Bath Creek, a stone's throw from Pamlico River
Bird watch. Check out some of the fantastic bird-watching sites nearby
Shop. Explore Bath's selection of antique shops
Discover. Take a history tour of North Carolina's first town, including the haunts of Edward "Blackbeard" Teach

  • Beautiful place to come and recharge. The views are stunning and the inn is spectacular. Dale and Maree are wonderful innkeepers. Thank you both so much for making our getaway so special. We look forward to coming back soon!
