The Itinerary
Day 1: Depart for Beijing
• Depart from your US location on the overnight flight to Beijing

Day 2: Arrive in Beijing
• Your local guide will welcome you upon touchdown in Beijing and transfer you to your hotel
• You'll have the rest of the day to relax and rest up from your long flight
Overnight at China National Convention Center Grand Hotel

Day 3: Explore Beijing
• Spend the day seeing the city at your own pace
• Or, enjoy an optional excursion to the Forbidden City with lunch, a visit to the Summer Palace, and a Chinese Herbal Institute; or participate in an optional banquet featuring Peking Duck

Day 4: The Great Wall
• Start off the day with the trip to the majestic Great Wall
• Then, see the famous Bird's Nest and Water Cub
• You'll also get the chance to view on the of the largest Jade Exhibitions in Asia
• After an included lunch, you can pay an additional fee to large scale dramatic musical, "The Golden Mask Dynasty"

Day 5: Fly to Shanghai and bus to Suzhou
• Reflect on all you've seen so far during a free day in Beijing or take an additional tour to the Temple of Heaven and a rickshaw Hutong tour and local family visit (for an extra fee)
• In the evening, you'll board your domestic flight to Shanghai
• Then, receive transfer to Suzhou, about an hour away by bus
Overnight at Royal International Hotel Shanghai. Breakfast and dinner (on airplane) provided.

Day 6: The Gardens of Suzhou
• The Venice of the East, Suzhou is veined with serene canals overshadowed by classic architecture and lush gardens
• Tour the blooming Lingering Garden after breakfast
• Then, stop by the country's largest silk factory and have a delicious lunch
• After lunch, you have the option to see the picturesque Grand Canal for an additional fee
• In the evening, you'll see the Lingshan Grand Buddha and travel to Wuxi for the night
Overnight at Ramada Hotel Suzhou. Breakfast and lunch provided.

Day 7: Wuxi to Hangzhou
• Take a tour of Lake Lihu and then visit a freshwater pear farm
• After your morning in Wuxi, head to Hangzhou
• You can pay an additional fee to enjoy an open-air performance called "Impression West Lake"
Overnight at Deacon House Hotel. Breakfast and lunch provided.

Day 8: Hangzhou's Lakeside Leisure
• Hangzhou is renowned for its natural beauty, most notably the shimmering expanse of West Lake, a classic example of Asian gardening esthetic
• Take in lovely views of the serene waters (and an optional boat tour for an extra fee) before sampling green tea at a plantation
• After lunch, you'll drive back to Shanghai and stop by the shores of the Huangpu River to admire the vibrant cityscape at night, available for an additional fee
Overnight at Merchant Marco Garden Hotel. Breakfast and lunch provided.

Day 9: Shanghai
• Soak up the Bund's electric energy before heading to Shanghai
• See the staggeringly ancient displays at the Shanghai Museum and the surrounding People's Square
• After lunch, you'll visit a market selling traditional Chinese arts and crafts
Overnight at Royal International Hotel Shanghai. Breakfast and lunch provided.

Day 10: Return to US
• Say your goodbyes over breakfast
• Today, you'll be transferred to the Shanghai airport for your return flight back to the US
