about the events
September 20: Tasting Showcase (11 a.m. to 4 p.m.)
The Tasting Showcase serves as the ultimate combination of food, wine, and music -- one event you won't want to miss. This Saturday morning showcase features all kinds of seminars and culinary demonstrations from acclaimed chefs and local stars, who will be showcasing their skills on stage. Plus, you'll be able to sample food, wine, craft beer, and spirits and check out all the lifestyle and cooking vendors and resources on display. Tasting Showcase ticket purchasers will also receive their own commemorative glassware, a 2014 etched wine glass and pilsner glass.
September 20: Traffic Jam (5 to 8:30 p.m.)
Back for its second year, Traffic Jam offers guests an evening of amazing live music from Seven Handle Circus; craft beer and spirits from the likes of Camarena Tequila, Dark Corner Distillery, Firefly Vodka, Nelson's Greenbrier Distillery, Shellback Rum, Six and Twenty Distillery, Thomas Creek Brewery, Sierra Nevada, and BottleTree; and delicious dishes from a variety of the food trucks in town like Henry's Hog Hauler, The Gypsy Kitchen, and The Chocolate Moose. Please note: This event is 21 and older. No children are admitted.
September 21: South State Bank Jazz Brunch (10 a.m. to 2 p.m.)
Get ready for a New Orleans-style brunch that will have you eating to the beat of the South Carolina Jazz Orchestra, playing big band favorites from musicians like Duke Ellington, Count Basie, and more. Then, enjoy dishes from nearly 20 local restaurants and sip on Charleston Mix & Tito's vodka bloody Marys and mimosas before busting a move on the dance floor.
