The Washington Post

Behind the scenes...

Written by Carlo Goldoni in 1743, this adapted play follows the exploits of Truffaldino -- an always-hungry servant who gets a chance opportunity to score an extra dinner by serving two masters at the same time. Trying to keep the scheme under wraps gets a little dicey, and you'll see how the story unfolds throughout this performance at Lansburgh Theatre in Penn Quarter. Winners of the 2012 Regional Theatre Tony Award, Shakespeare Theatre Company and its versatile actors will handle the singing and dancing, leaving you to sit back and enjoy what is sure to be a hilarious show.
