For nearly half a century the Cantata Singers have been one of the biggest voices for classical music in all of Boston. Paired with a full orchestra, this 44-voice choir performs with what the Boston Classical Review calls a "subtle virtuosity... filled with moments of particularly intense expression." Pay $11 (a $20 value), $17 (a $35 value), or $27 (a $55 value) for a ticket to see one of this ensemble's upcoming concerts at the New England Conservatory's Jordan Hall (price varies according to seat level). Choose from the following performances:

"The Magisterial Ardor" on Sunday, March 17 at 3 p.m. Consisting of works from Schumann, Merryman, and MacMillan, this performance features arrangements for choir and string orchestra created especially for the Cantata Singers.

"Rhetoric's Revolution" on Friday, May 10 at 8 p.m. The final concert of the season, this program features Mozart's Ave Verum Corpus along with works from Haydn and Zelenka.
