moody melodies

This program features some of the most brooding compositions in the classical music repertoire -- you'll recognize some of them instantly after a few opening chords. You'll hear Rachmaninoff 's "The Isle of the Dead," Chopin's "Funeral March," and Mussorgsky's "Night on Bald Mountain." And joining the orchestra during Liszt's "Totentanz" and Herrmann's "Concerto Macabre" -- from the film "Hangover Square" -- will be pianist Peter Mack. Conducting the orchestra this afternoon will be maestro Adam Stern.
