DISPATCH with Guster

  • The 2017 Tour: DISPATCH along with special guest Guster take to the road during their Dispatch: America, Location 12 tour. Along with the shows comes the release of the band’s new track. “Only the Wild Ones,” the first to be released from their upcoming album of the same name and available now on streaming services.
  • The Band: Founded by college friends turned band of brothers Chad Urmston, Pete Heimbold, and Brad Corrigan, Dispatch released four rapid fire albums over four years and grew a tremendous reputation as a live act. Before splitting up in 2004, the band drew over 111,000 fans to their “farewell” concert at Boston’s Hatch Shell. Thankfully, that “farewell” wasn’t forever, as the group reunited for a string of sold-out benefit shows at Madison Square Garden, released its first studio album in over a decade with 2011’s Circles Around the Sun, and expanded their sound while pursuing their other passion, philanthropy. Since then they have embarked on multiple sold-out arena tours around the globe.
  • Dispatch’s Philanthropic Accomplishments: The group has an applaudable track record of benefit concerts and service projects, and the members even run and support several charities and causes. Their first series of Madison Square Garden shows raised money to fight disease, famine, and social injustice in Zimbabwe, and led to a performance at the Kennedy Center in 2009 at the invitation of Zimbabwe’s Prime Minister. Their next Garden series raised funds to fight hunger and malnutrition in the United States.

Special Guest

  • Guster: Since forming at Tufts University in 1992, Guster has become one of the leading indie/alternative bands in the nation, releasing seven critically acclaimed albums in 20 years. Their latest, Evermotion is ripe with the group’s trademark hummable choruses, dense lyrical details, muscular guitar riffs, and clanging percussion, but also finds the band expanding their horizons into acid-soaked chamber pop heard in the infectious single, “Simple Machine,” which Time magazine hails for its “frantic beats and crawling synthesizers.”
